It is with great pleasure that I am writing to tell you that our Chairman, Martin Adams, has been honoured by Surrey Tennis with their 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award.
In the words of David Lovejoy, Chair of the Awards Committee :
“It gives me great pleasure to inform you that Martin Adams has won this prestigious award for his hard work dedication and commitment with Ham & Petersham. Having read the nomination it was clear that there was no better candidate than Martin to receive this award. Members who are able to give their time to help organise and run a variety of different projects as Martin has demonstrated over an extended period of time are the real back bone of British Tennis. Martin’s hard work determination and drive has provided tennis opportunities for the all the local community not only for now but for generations to come.”
This well-deserved award to Martin also reflects greatly on our Club, our coaches and teams and I am sure you will wish to join with your Committee in offering our warmest congratulations to Martin, and to Barbara, who has so ably supported him over the years.
